Sharing Our Building
Consistent with our mission to reach out to the larger community and be responsible stewards of this beautiful historic church, we welcome building rentals so others may share it with us.
Our location combines the charm of the Village of Housatonic with close proximity to both Stockbridge and Great Barrington. The Mass. Pike is only a short drive providing easy access from both the east and west. There is some off street parking with ramp access to the building as well as ample on street parking.
The building includes a spacious sanctuary and an adjoining social hall complete with stage and kitchen. The entire facility or individual rooms may be rented and could provide just the space you have been looking for whether it’s for a wedding, concert, lecture, reception, special event or regular meeting place. WiFi / Internet access is available.
Room Descriptions
Sanctuary
This space is the heart of the original church with arched decorative ceilings reflective of its late 19th century architecture. Medium wood trim and amber stained glass create a warm glow throughout. The curved pews provide an inclusive feeling to the seating for up to 270 people.
The pipe organ, baby grand piano, and sound system maybe used with special permission.
Social Hall
This is a large bright space with windows and French doors looking out to a grassy lawn. There is a raised stage at one end and pass through window to the kitchen. It can accommodate seating for 135 people. Bathrooms are right around the corner. The Hall can be entered from the sanctuary or directly from a side entrance with a ramp. Tables and chairs are available for use with this space.
Kitchen
Our fully equipped kitchen includes two gas stoves, two full sized refrigerators, a large three section sink for washing, rinsing and sanitizing dishes, two microwaves, dishes and cookware. Use of the kitchen must be supervised by someone who is ServSafe certified.
Requesting Space
To request space please utilize the UUMSB Building Use Request Form. Please write to rentals@uumsb.org with questions.
In addition to rental fees there is a security deposit of $75 for all groups. However, under certain circumstances these fees may be waived.
Evidence of insurance may be required. Ongoing and /or recurring rental agreements will be individually negotiated.
UUMSB’s building and grounds are tobacco free.

Entire Building: $225
Each additional hour: $50
Sanctuary only: $125
Each additional hour: $25
Social Hall only: $100
Each additional hour: $20
Kitchen: $80
Each additional hour: $20
Social Hall & Kitchen: $150
Each additional hour: $25
Scheduled recurring events will be individually assessed.
