We welcome and affirm people of all abilities. We have taken the following steps to assure that no one is excluded for full participation in the life of our church.
Mobility
Our sanctuary and social hall are accessible to those using wheelchairs or having limited mobility. Our restrooms are wheelchair friendly, but are not fully accessible (we do not have push button doors).
Sight
Large print hymnals and Orders of Service are always available. Please ask any usher for assistance. If you would like an orientation tour of the building during the week, contact our office to make arrangements.
Hearing
Our sanctuary has amazing acoustics and is a very “live” room. In 2022 we upgraded all of our sound equipment. We now have listening assistance devices and a loop for those with hearing aids. Closed captions run on the Zoom screen at home and in the sanctuary. We ask everyone to use a mic in the Sanctuary so those at home, and everyone in the room can hear.
Chemical Sensitivity
We use odorless candles and we encourage our members to not wear fragrances to worship. If you have any concerns about products used in the building, please be in touch with our minister, Rev. Carol.
Children with Special Needs
If you want your child to participate in the lifespan faith development program and feel that they may require special accommodation due to learning disabilities or behavioral issues, please contact Rev. Carol in advance so the best possible arrangements can be made.
Pastoral Care
We provide pastoral care to all members regardless of ability. We may not be able to fully remedy every situation, but can provide a compassionate ear and a willingness to enlist the help of others. If you have a hidden disability that you think it’s important for someone to know, please contact Rev. Carol to share your information in confidence.
Service Animals
Service and comfort animals are welcome. We have grassy areas where service animals may relieve themselves.
